Didn't he play for Glasgow Celtic?
Perhaps that is why they want him.

Just see it now, :malky: :malky: :malky: :malky: :malky: 1,000s of people in St Peters Square in Rome, all doing the Malky. :malky: :malky: :malky: :malky: :malky: :malky:

Playing for Celtic might have been a bit of a give away!! as back then I think you had to be Catholic to play for Celtic as being protestant to play for Rangers.
But thats changed now I believe.

It's been a long time since only Catholics were only aloud play for Celtic. Jock Stein because rangers would not take Catholics stated that if he had the choice of one of two players of equal ability and one was a protestant and the other a catholic he would sign the Protestant as Rangers would not sign a Catholic

I can tell you Malky goes to the catholic church in Cowbridge regularly as my mate goes to the same church

There's a new pope? And they want to replace him already?

Why didn't they just ask malky to step in when this one retired!
