I think our team have always played of the crowd in situations like ours.
So many fans aren't willing to let themselves think we are going up that I think in the stadium it grows into the players.
When we are thinking we are sliced bread and going up, get a good party atmosphere in the stadium, the players could start to express themselves again. Everyone's moaned about the manner of the way we are winning, professionally but lacking flair.
So lets show the team we are behind them and enjoy each home game this season. It's not often a team is 11 points up with so much of the season to go, we could cherish every home game and really get into the spirit. It will add to the atmosphere hugely and don't we deserve to rub it in the away fans faces?
What do you all think?

The atmosphere is so much better when it's a back to the walls job or something to play for, i.e. Playing against a team not far from us. I think if promoted we will have an atmosphere against the big teams, teams like Stoke, Wigan etc we will just have a boring atmosphere.

Whilst I agree the atmosphere isn't always great, I think some exaggerate how bad it might be. Part of the problem are the acoustics. In some parts of the ground you can't hear the noise from other parts. eg. where I sit in the Ninian towards the Canton, you can hear the Canton, but not the visiting fans.
I suspect that perhaps it sounds noisier on the pitch than in the stands. This would not be unique to the CCS. It's the same in plenty of other stadia I've been to, new and old.

I dont really mean the atmosphere in the stadium, as i agree with you that the stadium is built for the sound to hit the pitch, im more concerned about the atmosphere amongst fans. Weve always been negative in our approach until its actually happened.
lets change it and actually start to celebrate the fact we are going up. it doesnt happen often that we get promoted, and never to the prem, so lets make a big deal and start celebrating.
theres more hope of bob hope reappearing than us not actually going up now.

well i think, it takes 2 too tango. if the teams playing well. then the fans will respond, if the team aint playing good football. then the crowd is quiet?

But we give them about 10 mins, then go into negative mode. The players feed massively on the crowd. players want to take less chances and defintely play within themselves when the crowd isnt as supportive as they had been.

The atmosphere will pick up massively if we get promoted.
We've been waiting for so long to get promoted and we've always seemed to fail at the last hurdle, making each season less enjoyable. With us looking very likely to go up as champions I think there will be a lot of weight lifted off our shoulders which will ultimately bring back our atmosphere.

why wait until we get promoted though? We basically are promoted, just not had the letter.
What i mean is though, we have the rest of the home games this season when we could have a real party mode atmosphere, how often do we get promoted esp to the Prem. Lets properly show the team and the away support what promoted fans look like!

I think over the past few seasons we always expect to win which affects the atmosphere if we don't play well.If we go up weel be underdogs in most of the games and that will lift the crowd.Always think we as a crowd perform better when we're underdogs

I think that because of the disappointment of failing for the past few years has not convinced a lot of our fans that we're up yet. I know we are pretty much there, but one bad run out of nowhere and we could easily be back in the play offs. There won't be a party atmosphere until there's something to celebrate.
