It can still go terribly wrong

Sun Feb 10, 2013 1:03 pm

When it comes to the City my glass is always half empty, we've been so close these last few seasons that I'll only believe it after the Hull game.

Our lack of goals is a major concern, only 13 in our last 10 games and 4 of those were against Blackburn. In only 2 other matches have we scored more than 1 (Blackpool & Palace). Defensively we've only conceded 5 but I think Marshall has rescued us on many occasions. I think it's time Malky had another look at Noone as his direct pacey running at the opposition served us well in the earlier part of the season, but he has to play on the left so I would replace Conway.

I've been looking at our form over the last 10 games and we lead the way with 23 points. If you take the last 6 as most form guides show then we slip to 2nd behind Leicester but if you look at the last 12 matches we are down to 6th. Not sure what all that means as even when not winning yesterday we increased our lead at the top.

We still have to play the 10 form clubs behind us so it's certainly going to be a nervous final third to the season.

I wish I could be like all the optimists on here but 55 years of City has taught me differently. It certainly hasn't been boring all these years. depressing maybe but never boring.

Never depressing but always a rollercoaster ride.

We are going up. For once in my life, I'm confident.

Totally agree! We have got some really tough games to go and nobody is going to hand us the 8 or 9 wins we need. Of the 7 teams we no longer have to play most of them are mid table or lower. Even the bottom 3 will be fighting for their lives and who fancies Peterborough away or even Barnsley at the moment? From this form table most of our games are against the best sides. I will only sleep easy if we get 4 wins from the next 6 :malky:

Totally illogical as we have increased our lead in last 6 games! So something way out+
