polo i'll buy you 10 if we don't go up  plenty to play for but we can't blow a 11 point lead, surely not!

I'll buy you as much as you want if we don't go up.

But by the looks of things I won't have to as we'll all be having a massive piss up come the Hull game. :ayatollah:

Not to 2 teams anyway. Not with 16 games to go. No chance. 5 wins 5 draws will do it. Takes us to 84 points.

Re: 11 points clear with just 48 to play for

Sat Feb 09, 2013 9:29 pm

One of those teams only has 45 to play for. :ayatollah:

The problem about today is that as we failed to win it is going to make it difficult to secure promotion at Peterborough which is what I predicted. That will be an ideal ground to do it as its where we really pushed the Ayatollah by invading the pitch on that last game of the season all those years ago.

Would it not be ironic we repeat that but this time as champions. All of us singing "on the pitch" 5 minutes before the final whistle then at full time a mass invasion with us doing the Ayatollah.

The other problem is that I'm too old to climb over any wall, push my way through the line of stewards and run around the pitch doing the Ayatollah.

We will clinch it at home to Blackburn on Easter Monday I reckon.

Aye most likely. My predictions were quite ambitious.

Cardiff manager Malky Mackay: "It's another point gained for us. We were playing against a team that is now unbeaten in six at home and they are playing for their management.

"They had a five-man midfield with 10 men defending the final third but we have to get used to that.

"I will always take 0-0 away from home. It keeps us undefeated in a difficult division.

"It was a very tricky pitch, one of the poorest we have played on but it was the same for both teams."

Love the answer, well the answer is NEVER.

I also would not be surprised if Malky does not achieve top 10 in the first few months next season, Tan will axe him :o

I hope not. VT seems a shrewd operator and will see from his Malaysian mate at QPR that changing the manager isnt the solution.

One thing that will stand Malky in good sted is his ability to deal with the media. As I said yesterday he could even show Max Clifford a trick or two. :malky:

That'll be nice, as Forest and Charlton home I'm on holiday. Even if I miss the big day though, there'll be a weekend long party at the pub so I'll make up for it somewhere

I was critical of his isolated lone striker formation adopted last season yes.

I was also critical of him using square pegs in round holes ie Cowie on the wing.

He has addressed both my concerns and this season, with the help of VTs backing, he is doing a great job.

I am more than happy to hold my hands up and say "yep, maybe got that one wrong"

You on the other hand, through rose tinted specs are still claiming Rambo is "World Class". i dont agree. That doesnt make me negative.

And rightly so. I believe any Cardiff fan would have had their doubts on both those counts Polo. Cowie is not a winger for one and although he does try to get stuck in you need someone on the wing like Noone who can be productive going forward. You shouldn't sacrifice an attacking threat for industry on the wings.

As for the lone striker formation I know that annoyed many on the forums and off it. Malky has had money to spend and he's done it wisely but I do think had he not had the backing of Tan we'd still be playing the same stuff as last season most of the time.

Re: 11 points clear with just 48 to play for

Youre probably right Barnett theres no way we would be where we are without VT its a shame he will never get the credot off some.

However, credit where its due Malky has instilled a tremendous work ethic and belief in this squad. The last season under DJ showed you need more than just talent.

Whilst I was a fan of DJ I can now see his obvious failings when compared to Malky. Malky seems to have got in the players heads that they are winners. I am certainly impressed every time I heat him speak and proud he is OUR manager.

He is an inspirational person and whilst sometimes the football still isnt sexy the results speak for themselves

i said he was on the road of being world class until he broke his leg, which i did believe, completely different to saying he IS world class at this moment in time
