THE LOAN WINDOW OPENS ON FRIDAY

Wed Feb 06, 2013 10:10 pm

Do you think we need any more players to strengthen the squad, perhaps Malkay has kept back some of the January transfer budget to cater for their wages, whats your thoughts. :ayatollah:

I think he said if needed he will use the market but judging what we have I doubt we will go for anyone. Then again its a strong market for Championship clubs.

maybe 1 or 2 defenders, got depth everywhere else!... maybe just 1/2 experienced defenders who've had the pressure of going up put on them! cant think of any names tho

With our squad near enough fully fit, I wouldn't say we desperately need anyone in on loan at present.

So unless we pick up any injuries in the next few weeks, I doubt anyone will be coming in.

Perhaps this might equate to the good news journalist Joe Lovejoy mentioned?

Why the fcuk do we need players? We are 10 points clear and have the best bench I can remember (and I'm oldish) so why bring players in?

I wont argue with anything Malky does at the moment. As you say, we're flying as we are
and he already has signed a cracking striker and defensive cover.

So if he dont sign anyone, no sweat.

Leicester, Palace, Hull... they can sign anyone they like, but can only PLAY eleven!!

Our defence is like a rock.

Noone, Bellamy, Smith, Helguson, Mason, Campbell, Whittingham, Kim Bo...yeh, we're gonna
be ok for goals now too ;)

Unless there's a player who could run rings around championship level players available Im happy as we are, I wouldn't mind seeing Etien going out on loan

Knocked the nail on the head.

Also not many teams around us strengthed with people who look like they can be key to teams.

I looked our bench on Saturday and thought if we keep it at 0-0 we can bring on some quality and some players with the tank to take us over the line and get a win.

To strengthen further? I'd like a quality CM.

We are ten points clear, yes. Doesn't mean it's ours.

I read somewhere that after the proposed transfer debacle with Nottingham Forest, it was possible he may go out on loan to another Championship Club. :|

A bit of an ask on a loan though.
I think it all depends if MM can get any kind of form out of mutch

Loan window opens today until 28th March anyone signed on loan during that period can sign for anything from 28 days to 93 days, so in theory if we signed someone now he could stay until the end of the season  :ayatollah: Therefore in our case if any deals are to be done it will be with a view to a permanent signing in the summer :ayatollah: Will we sign anyone? as Annis would say Hmmmmmmmmm

Not worth the risk. Get some clown in and it could derail everything completely. I would rather Cowie play who the squad know and have worked with than put a new player in that could cause issues.

We don't need anyone. We are top by such a margin for a reason. As long as the current players dont take their foot off the pedal we'll go up.

Absolutely right it's not ours yet but do we need to strengthen further? At the moment we have a content squad of players and since Conway got his knickers in a twist, not a single grumble. If we bring in more players then it could create resentment in the squad.

If you had made whoever you work for a million in profit and then they brought in someone to do your job, you'd be pissed off. Same goes for the players who have got us 10 points clear.

If the right player comes along you can't say no but we don't NEED players.

:ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

It's not often we've been able to say that!
