Ronaldinho

Wed Feb 06, 2013 7:30 pm

He's apparently starting tonight.

If he is I'd love to see some of the magic he can produce and put a quality goal or two in.

Wtf

Messi has 203 goals in 236 games and is widely reported as the greatest player of all time. To think Ronaldinho is better as he could do tricks is an amazing thing to say!!

He did more than Neymar and Lucas.

As long as Brasilia put in better performances in 2014 i'm happy

Neymar is SO overrated. He can do some nice, skillful tricks and has pace and ability, but against a decent full back who he can't get the better of, Neymar throws the towel in and becomes a disinterested luxery player. Lucas Moura is currently a better player than Neymar imo, Moura has Neymar's skill but is even quicker than Neymar, plus I think Moura has a better mentality, work rate and end product. Just because Neymar does a few tricks and goes on a few mazy dribbles to score goals against inferior opposition, he's being hyped as the next big thing.

I have yet to see Neymar do it against decent opposition and Neymar won't hit the heights that Ronaldinho, Robinho, Rivaldo, Ronaldo etc have hit during their peak imo. In the future, I think Neymar will go to a good European team, not a top European team, just a good European team with lots of money to buy him like PSG. But Neymar imo will fail to crack it in the better European leagues and he will end up going back home to Brazil after failing to step up and live up to the hype.

Anyway, sorry to sabotage the thread talking about Neymar. Feel free to ignore me and continue talking about Ronaldinho as this is the topic of this thread.

I've not seen enough of him to give my opinion, but from what I've heard/read about him from people I trust who watch him a lot he's outstanding; they reckon when he comes to Europe he'll be closer to Messi than any other player on the planet. These guys tend to know their stuff too.

Cristiano Ronaldo is twice the player Naymar is.

I love the way people just ignore him as if he's just some average player.

Re: Ronaldinho

I watch Brazilian football and Neymar is very overhyped. He is far too respected on the ball there and they give him far too much space which is different to the likes of Messi and Ronaldo here in Europe making their own space and working the pitch and players to craft opportunities. Even Bale is in a different league to Neymar.

Neymar is one of the most overhyped players of this generation. As for tricks, nothing Jay Jay Okocha couldn't do.
