Can Maynard, Bellamy and Campbell play together?

Mon Feb 04, 2013 9:51 pm

I feel these three will be our three main strikers next season. I am really interested to see how Maynard and Campbell play together upfront.

Yes, I think they can. BUT if bot Maynard and Fraizer are going up front together, Bellamy has to obviously go on the wing. He would provide killer crosses etc.

It would be very promising IMO.

I agree with this. I think Bellers pace is devastating out on the wing but he is a very attacking player so would this leave Taylor exposed at the back is my question to this. Maybe we may have to adopt a change of formation?

At one stage on Saturday we had Bellamy, Campbell, Helguson and Smith on the pitch

Don't think Malky's afraid to attack haha, it's a good question though as HH is obviously playing a target man role, had Maynard and Campbell play a similar role I suspect....meh if Tevez and Aguero can do it so can our boys

If we get to the Prem I think we will need a new LB as Taylor wouldn't be able to cope with the likes of Hazard, Valencia, Remy etc.

I am a fan of Taylor and feel he's been solid so far this season but the pace would be too much for him in the Prem IMO.

Maynard and Campbell up front together won't be easy.

It never works.. it will take massive work look at Sturridge and Suarez.

As a three I think they could, Campbell and Bellamy on the wing Maynard through the middle. At Prem level that might be hard though. Pitty about Maynard those three could have run riot.

Bellamy I think will be useful although now 34 we cant expect too much,

I'd like to see campbell and maynard play together, theirs no rule in players cant be similiar yet many teams dont like to play them together.

I disagree though - wherever there are goalscorers there are goals double the chance of scoring in my oppinion, than say, having helguson there

Its very hard to play 2 similar strikers up front. Liverpool lucky to have 2 quality players who make great runs and have Gerrard to play them in.

Maybe as a front 3
Ie 4-5-1/4-3-3

Maynard
Bellers Campbell.

this is key.

Two smaller lads will work. But you need midfielders who arent afraid to keep the ball
and be patient. The second you just hoof it, you blow it!
