personally I dont believe in this 'they are too similiar garbage'
you stick 2 fast skillful goal scorers up front and the majority of teams are going to be torn a new arse hole,
giving no end of problems and conceed 4 or 5 goals at home.
yes it's true you may lose some aeriall quality in the final 3rd, but target men aren't usually that fast and what you lose out in the air you gain on the ground,
and genurally more efforts on goal in dangerous positions, its very rare you'l see helguson score let alone score a header and if we're running a set piece or a corner we've always got big ben and huds to run in.
I would love to see what a fully fit nicky maynard and frazier campbell would do in the championship, cos I assure you with bellamy on the pitch and the rest of our midfield we'd hbe ammering almost everyone

I agree with you but the fact its not easy. You never see it come off for the top teams but Liverpool can do it because they have great midfielders well Gerrard, Henderson (in form of late).

If your going to play two smaller lads together up top, of course it CAN work. But you
need midfielders that are comfortable on the ball and who are capable of holding it up
and waiting for the right pass. Frankly, we dont have any except Kim Bo. Not many teams
do in this division. Thats why so many 'target men'
