iPod touch, iPhone & ipad iOS 6.x JAILBREAK!

The untethered jailbreak for apples latest software iOS 6.x.x is due to be released today!

Untethered meaning without the need to use a pc etc to boot your device into a jail broken state! The new released jailbreak will remain on your device whether the power is switched off or not.

What will I gain from doing this. Is it free apps ect that I would normally have to pay for?

It's pretty risk free Baz, you just back up your device to iTunes before you do it, that way you'll always be able to restore your device to that point.

What if the jailbreak 'bricks' it? No back-up would be able to restore it.

Prob best to give it a few weeks so people can solve all the bugs?

Will I risk f*cking up my iPad? Only had it since Xmas so I don't really want to break it

The ability to customise how your settings are displayed and how your phone works. Apple restricts you to get into system files to customise your phone, the jailbreak lifts these restrictions. You can also get installous which is an app store where cracked apps are free.

You won't brick your phone installing a jailbreak. If anything happens you just put it into dfu mode and restore in iTunes to your last back up.

No. You won't break it. And I'd anything happens to your ipad that needs apples attention through warranty you just restore to factory settings before taking it to apple. Jailbreak is untraceable when removed.

All released and working! Although most servers busy as around 8m people all trying to download from Cydia!

I'm going to give it a go I think. So I sync to my computer and back it up. Then if something goes wrong I just sync it again?

Yea but nothing should go wrong. Cydia is being battered though haha.

What is Cydia? I've heard of it

It's what is installed via the jailbreak. It's the new App Store you will get.

So how do I do it? Do I do it on my iPad or my computer?
