A forum for all things Cardiff City

I know as it stands Cardiff are losing I belive, from what I hear on here in the region of 2 million + odd pounds per month. We still have the Langston / Hammam debt outstanding, and as I have not much knowledge of what goes on inside the club when it comes to the finances I ask anyone who knows what will promotion mean for us if we spend at least say 2 years in the premiership ?
I know we obviously get money for promotion, i.e. Sky tv rights. But say we stay up for 2 years like the Jerks so far. Would the amount be enough to stabalise us and clear Langston, and get rid of the 2 million going out every month ? Would we for the 1st time in years actually become a club out of the red ?
Also what if we only lasted a year in the prem ? Would the parachute payments still be enough to get us out of the red ?

It is a good season to get out of the football league.
Premier League clubs will get a massive £60million next year and that is a minimum. The football league will also start to put into action the fair play rules so investment will be curbed and clubs will have to live within their means.
It think we can safely say our finances will be much better off IF we go up. Doesn't bear thinking about if we don't.

If Tan Sri carries out his promise to turn debt to equity then we will be debt free before we arrive in the Premiership.
By the end of next season we should be substantially in profit and looking forward to our 2nd season in the premiership.
Over time the value of the club will increase and Tan Sri shareholding will increase as a result. At some point we will probably have further investors looking to buy into the club. Tan Sri may or may not wish to sell his shareholding (in full or in part) but ultimately the clubs financial standing would be very much secure - once the Debt to Equity swap goes ahead.
