I hope Ireland win. At least they show proper interest in the sport all year around. If these fans at 6 nations games went to regional games we'd have a bigger setup, more youth and better players coming through, more money in the game etc.

They're all just pretending to be interested in something that for ~ 360 days of the year they forget about. Sod the lot of them and I hope they're left sad and depressed. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I just wish they could see this. Really gets to me when they pretend to like it. I just got asked to go to the pub and watch it, I'm staying right here and watching the city game

Going to Spar to buy food and a drink and then coming back to watch/listen to the Cardiff game. Its this reason I class myself as Cardiffian and not Welsh as I don't want to be associated with these people. I've been asked by loads to go watch it but I'd rather watch Sky Sports News' 15 minutes of news repeated. :ayatollah:

Just went over to 101 to check the score, and see what kind of crowd is there. Saw a daffodil hat, straight back over to Sky Sports 2 :ayatollah:

The very fact we play so few games makes it an occassion in itself. Personally I love rugby, and I am happy to see families, women and children dressing up and enjoying themselves. It's the national sport after all.

Families, women and children dressing up and enjoying themselves should be reserved for carnivals and village fetes not sporting events. There ought to be more claret off the pitch than on it. I didn't watch the game, I won't watch any, but I don't want them to lose.

The atmosphere is rubbish.

Well I disagree I'm afraid.

You 'didn't watch the game' and 'won't watch any' but of course you know the atmosphere was/is rubbish

In my opinion, 70,000 at the Millenium is phenominal when it comes to atmosphere. Better than anything the CCS has ever produced.

Who has the right to decide that one sport is the national sport?????
By the way, if it has been (which I would contest), it won't be for much longer     :ayatollah: :malky:

The only people who have tried to make it "the national sport" is the establishment (including the media) - but look at attendances at club levels - very poor  - football is top dog now :ayatollah:

Even at international level, where it has had a strong following, there are less than a dozen nations that take the sport seriously in the world and Wales haven't beaten the current world champions for almost 60 years, despite playing them virtually every year - hardly the great champions they like to think of themselves as

I tend to find these days, its mostly women who take a keen interest in Rugby - none of the regions for example have a loyal following like our fanbase, and virtually none of the guys where I work are committed Rugby supporters, whereas its completely different when it comes to football :ayatollah:

Rugby is a great sport, just as football is. I have played both at a better standard than most of you donuts can only dream about. And I've also been capped by Wales at a summer sport. Apart from the muppets on these forums I've never came across anyone who dislikes either football or rugby.
