Does anyone know how I get music and apps from my iPad/iPod to my iTunes library? I've connected it and it only syncs the songs I've bought from the iTunes store. Over 800 songs on my iPod are downloaded from the internet and I don't want to risk losing them.
They are all on my iTunes library on my old laptop if that helps

Have you tried opening an I-cloud account on I-tunes. This enables you to save all songs to it which is then compatible with all your apple products.

just use the import button on ITunes and it should be straightforward.

Done that, it's just purchased songs though. You can get something called iMatch which lets you transfer other songs but it costs £30 a year

Just checked with my girlfriend who has done loads of this and all you need to do is open Itunes and then click Add File or Folder to Library then click on the file or folder you want to import and then open and it should copy it across no problem.
