Watford sign Udinese striker Fernando Forestieri on permanent deal!

Watford have confirmed the permanent signing of Udinese striker Fernando Forestieri on a five-and-a-half year contract.

The 22-year-old has impressed for the Hornets since arriving on loan last summer, and he has scored three goals in his 15 appearances.

Forestieri has now vowed to "give my heart" for the club as he continues to develop his career under the watchful eye of Watford boss Gianfranco Zola.

"I'm unbelievably happy to be signing for Watford," Forestieri said. "I have enjoyed the town and the club so far, as well as the support of the fans.

"Life feels good at Watford and it feels like home. I love working with people here and I feel protected.

"I would like to thank Lucas (my agent), as well as Gianluca Nani, Scott Duxbury and the staff from Watford for their help and support.

"I will give my heart for the club."

Personally thought that all the loan signings were a temporary fix in an attempt to get to the Prem!

Something makes me feel uneasy about how they can switch players about between 3 clubs.

Oh very handy.

What's to stop them riddling Watford with huge debt willing increasing the turnover at the other two clubs then plunging them into admin?

Wish Udinese would do that with Dirty Leeds! :)

I know the username is now very apt for you - it's a testament to how long ago I last had a look at your boards.

Watford are playing some impressive counter attacking football.Zola has gelled his foreign legion and i fully expect them to be in the playoffs come the end of the season

What did they pay for him? Whatever it was it doesn't matter as the cash moved from the owners left pocket to his right pocket.

What's to stop the owner basically using the strong squad from one team to bulk up another team in an attempt to gain promotion. If it works they have two clubs with large evaluations, if it fails the player can just be sold back ata later date?

I'm sure UEFA are on top of it.
