Cardiff City fanzine

Mon Jan 14, 2013 4:52 pm

I have wanted to start this for a while - it very nearly happened last season but financial problems pushed us back.

The financial problems to start it are still there. If we are to print off, say 500, it's going to cost a bit of money obviously.

I still want to bring this to happen though.

PM me or contact me on Facebook if you're interested in being part of it. I am also actively looking into finding funds. If anyone can help us out, it would be much appreciated - note that all donations will be refunded from sales on the first issue.

All profits will go towards future issues and the YOUNG GUNS I initiative.

I spoke to Annis about this a few months ago, him and Carl are fully behind it.

So, if anyone is interested then please PM me or contact me on Facebook!

I agree mate. It has to be neutral. I intend for it to have differing views so people can see both sides of things.

Please no negative/joke comments everyone.. Obviously wont be helpful

I used to love fanzines from all different clubs, but sadly and I think its down to the internet, there isn't the demand for them that there once was and that can be seen by the lack of them around in comparison to olden days. :old:

I see where you're coming from Gwyn.

But we have 22,000 on average at home games. Not all of those have access to the Internet and I know plenty like the idea of a fanzine.

It is also intended that there could be promotional vouchers in there and competitions.

I wish you all the best, and if wanted, I'd contribute if I can be of help, but just don't set yourself up to lose too much money in case it fails. :old:

I've seen him on some occasions, so he still attends and is still around. He'd be a good contact for advice.

I used to buy them all the time, diferent teams ones from all over the UK, but sadly I don't think the demand is there anymore, times have changed, just about everything you write about in the zine will have already been read/discussed on-line...
