According to the people who are in the know, Malky will not pay the 2mill that Derby want. He was willing to pay upto 1.5m but the consortium that own Derby want 2m, and as I have been told from a very reliable source on this forum Malky will not be held to ransom.

It's not as if MM was going to do this whole deal in the dark, Derby want a bidding war, as soon as Derby gave him permission to talk Brayfords agent would have had him in the shop window. We could have bid £2.5 million immediately and other clubs could have come in.

Unless someone has quotes from Allerdyce talking about Brayford within the last week, I'd put money on this story starting from Derby who are aware of previous interest and are using that to get the price up.

I honestly think Connolly with NAughts as a very capable backup is easily good enough.

Sam spent big last year but never went in for this guy formally ?????
