Blakey: Mick McCarthy and Terry Connor have turned Ipswich around. It goes to show what can be achieved with a good manager.

Tucker: The weather was horrible, the football was horrible. The whole thing was horrible on Saturday. Ipswich were a different team to the one Cardiff beat in October. The truth is, they probably should have won. You have to admire Cardiff's four clean sheets in the last five games.

Blakey: Peter Whittingham will not get the time to control the game in a 4-4-2 as a 4-3-3. In his mind, in a two, he has to keep his shape. In a three, he know defensively he hasn't got as much responsibility. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Blakey: At times we've had to dig in and the keeper has played very well. But the teams below are not consistent enough. If they could find consistency, this would be a very tough run-in. But it will be eased by the fact the others can't get form together. They will have a dip at some point and this is the worst time for playing at high tempo. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Blakey: If you've got a good dressing room, anyone who comes in would have to adapt. If he doesn't then you would have to let them go.

Tucker: The personality of players coming in is such a big thing to Malky Mackay. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Blakey: Malky will work with people who have a bit of a reputation if he knows them. Craig Bellamy is a good example. But my advice would be 'back yourself'. Take a Premier League player on loan and if it doesn't work out, send them back. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Blakey: Gestede is good enough to play but at the moment he is not making enough telling runs to make up the midfielder's mind to play a pass to him. The size of him, he should be powering on full backs. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Blakey: Players should be going out on loan. Steve McPhail and Filip Kiss need to get some football. Get some off the wage bill and free up some cash to bring some in.

Tucker: Malky said on Saturday that Joe Ralls definitely won't go. I don't think he wants too many to go out. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Tucker: If I had to pick out of Mason, Gestede and Helguson, I would pick Helguson right now. That points out to me the need for a new striker. Who has Hegluson really convinced? A stiriker in now would be the shot in the arm that everybody needs.

Blakey: Up to this point, I think we have been fortunate that our defensive record has helped us to get through games. They need to kick on now and go up in style, maintaining this gap if they can. A striker coming in now would stop City getting sucked back into a dog fight. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Blakey: I don't understand the situation that Earnie finds himself in. I have seen it at clubs before. I can't explain it.

Tucker: I just don't think Earnie is the sort of player that he wants in his team. It's nothing personal,he just doesn't fit in the plan. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Blakey: We've got a very good front five or six but we are missing a goalscorer. Joe Mason will give you goals but the problem is, he needs somebody to play with him. Mason and Bellamy together might not work. But they are intelligent and they could adapt to a 'false' number nine system. If Joe goes on a run, he could get 12 goals.

Tucker: He got the start at Birmingham and scored the winner. He is an option out of what is there. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Blakey: I think MIddlesbrough, Leicester and Watford will still be a threat.

Tucker: If this is the bad spell, we are laughing. If Cardiff can come out of the other side of this winning, they will cruise to promotion.

Tucker: Teams wanting to get in the Premier League don't normally take the FA Cup seriously. Velijkonja didn't earn the right to make Malky think about picking him. His first touch was poor and his distribution was poor.

Blakey: It was one game and he had a load of young lads around him. You should play more players who are in good form.

Tucker: Malky didn't have to go so far with his under strength team.

Blakey: Declan John is very good at going forward but not so good at defending. Macclesfield stopped him getting forward because he was a big threat and tactically pushed him back. But he is a good prospect who needs to work on his defensive game. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Tucker: Malky sees his players every day. He knows who is tired and who is injured and whatever. He obvisouly feels Kim needs a rest, so he's having a rest. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Steve Tucker: Nicky Maynard is back in light training but he will not play a competitive game for Cardiff City this season. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Blakey: When a club in in disarray like Blackpool, I would not worry about Cardiff going there to win. Their players will be thinking 'this is a shambles.' You need a manager who can cover problems with a big smile and good coaching. Blackpool don't have that right now. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Tucker: I think the atmosphere inside the ground is a bit poor considering the team is top of the league.

Blakey: I rememeber Giggsy telling me about the United fans wanting to be entertained. It is getting like that at Cardiff. The players need to give the fans something to shout about. If they are not playing well the fans will be expecting more.

Tucker: It sounds lik the 82/83 celebration will be a great night. It sounds like a great step forward for the club.

Blakey: It's nice to see. The affilitation with the history of the club isn't there now since they have moved stadiums. When it comes to past players, other clubs do more than Cardiff in terms of the way they are treated. Players like the Bennett brothers helped to create the history of Cardiff City. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Blakey: The nucleus of the squad is good enough for the Premier League. There will always be players who raise their game in the top flight, like Norwich's players have.

Tucker: When I see Norwich on Match of the Day, I can't believe how many players we playing against Cardiff a couple of seasons ago. http://bit.ly/VFpYYw

Tucker: Malky reckons high 80s to low 90s in terms of points will guarantee promotion.
