2 POINTS FOR A HOME WIN?

Sun Jan 13, 2013 8:19 pm

who whould think that 2 points for a home win, and 3 points for an away win is a decent idea? I do....

This way teams try harder to win away from home, making football in general a more attractive game, as teams would be going hell for leather to earn the highest maximum points, thus allowing the home team, more opportunities to attack on the break as well as the away team.

It would also prevent big teams or far more established teams from making so many changes away from home, which is better for the paying spectator?

Would there be any repercussion in the league tables etc etc I don't know, just wanted to hear opinions. :ayatollah:

Would just see team shut up shop at home because there's no major benefit in going for it at home.

Stupid idea to be honest, it's fine as it is

Crap idea, but i do like the idea of 2 points for a score draw. ;)

Shit idea, the only things needed changing is the disgusting amount of money being spent on players (including wages), match day pricing and safe standing.

It wasn't that long ago when it was two points for a win

Bad idea.

Safe standing
Ticket pricing
Wage cap across Europe
Champions league spot for FA cup winners

I'd like to see the above implemented.

Would need a worldwide wage cap or we'll just see a talent drain to China and Russia.

I'm not so sure about that. Maybe toward the end of careers but not in their prime. Europe will always be the place to play.

It's ok, there'll be a World War 3 soon. You can say goodbye to China and Russia in about 10 years.

Meh, I wouldn't. NATO are gaining loads of experience by invading the Middle East, constantly developing weaponry, we'll be fine.

Really? At the moment they just have a very large armed forces, they're not that much of a threat....yet. However, in about 5-10 years, when they've modernized their entire armed forces, then I'd be worried.
