A forum for all things Cardiff City

Up until Christmas Heidar led our front line and was joint top goalscorer. Cardiff were the top goalscorers in the Championship and not only did Helguson score goals but he had assists. Accepted he did start to look a bit tired but what has Heidar done wrong or does he have an injury to drop down the pecking order?
Over the last few games he has been left out and goals have dried up. Yesterday we were crying out for a change and fair enough MM did make that change but instead of bringing Helguson on he brought Joe Mason on. Whether it was to hit Ipswich with pace but we certainly had no ariel threat or ball winner in the air. Eventually Heidar came on about 6/7 minutes from the end.
He has had a good rest over the last month any ideas as to why he is not leading the line anymore?

i think being 35 malky just wanted to give him a break.....fair play to him he dont stop running like bellmay, so maybe thats why

Agree, we do need another striker but after yesterday he will probably start Saturday. He does bring all that winning experience with him. He is 35 but he has been there and done it and he knows how to handle defenders.
