Just got back from the game

and it was no surprise to me we played that bad.

What is a surprise to me is how have we come away with 13 pts from the last 15. Personally I think we have been playing well below par the last month or so. Against Leicester I was asked by one of their fans how we were top of the league. At the time I thought he might have a point as we basically hung on to the win there. I cannot comment about the Palace game because I was not there but for Millwall and Birmingham it was laughable how we won both games specially against the Brum. Todays performance was a follow on from those games and if the truth be told we have got worse as each game has come along.

Yep what is it now 4 clean sheets from last 5 league matches. That's 50% to understanding it. Lack of a striker will make it fully understandable.

I wish we could swap all these points for some good performances

Nukes you and me both. Performances well below the levels we were playing at earlier in the season. Today we were poor but we always are after a break. Results again went our way but we have to make our own destiny and we won't do that until we bring in quality up front. At times today we were running around like headless chickens.

Sorry Bakedalasker I thought it was nukes that wrote this!!! Your right we need a freshness up front or wewill be drawn back into the dogfight.

I think the simple answer to this thread is if you don't concede you don't lose and a general dynamic of the past 5 games is we have only conceded once.

When i brought this up about 2 weeks ago I was shouted down and was told , we are on top and 5 points in front. From what I remember today I cant really remember that we made our self's a clear shot on goal, but they were only about a foot away from scoring a cracking goal. We need a striker fast, and more inspirational build up from our Midfield, and not just long balls up to the front .

Its not us the penny needs to drop on Butty, its Malky, he is really riding his luck without a strike force. Bellers is breaking his Ass, running all over the place, put a few good balls into the box , but no sod there to cash in on them. That is not the performance of a top position team, and if it carrys on like this, with other teams bring in new player ,we wont be top for much longer.

Careful you will have all these happy clappers accusing you of moaning and telling you we are top of the league blah blah blah. Constructive criticism is something these drama queens don't understand.

I can see MMs problem.. You have 4 strikers below 6ft..

Bellamy works hard and can grab a goal but the service and the striker not giving him the quality he gives back then its hard.

A win is a win.. 3 points is 3 points.. you get a goal.. hold on.. and move on.

Top because we've got the most points and able to grind out victories. As mentioned above though we need new signings, we've been sussed out

im sorry i may upset a few people on here . but we are not even playing exciting football. even when we win. today was our chance. i thought ipswich were a team for the taking, i love the people who say the were an organized team. its up to us as a top of the table team to un organize them, there was nothing today . and i think the weather was to cold and wet for them,
