Not Usually a Malky critic but..

He did right by taking Gestede off today, he was dreadful. But to replace him with Mason was wrong.

How is a top kid and great player, but the football being played today did not suit Bellamy/Mason up front a we kept lumping it up to them with no target man.

Helguson should have come on.

Personally I think we should have played bellers as a lone striker and brought Kimbo on to bring in some composure
As we seemed a bit rushed by Ipshits spoiling tactic s

I was surprised to see mason. We couldn't get hold of midfield at all today though so service up front was non existent so whoever we brought on it didn't matter! Bellers was outstanding again but he can't do I on his own. I'm a bit worried tbh

I agree bellers can't do it on his own but today we needed an extra man in midfield ................

There were 5 on the park worse then Gestede and 3 were in Mid Field, Noone,Conway were bad but Whitts was awful.
Every time the ball got close to Gestede he was on the halfway line with back to goal he had no chance. Not one cross came in from wide on the byeline. Gunnerson/Bellars were the only ones that put a good shift in, even the back four struggled to look good. I suppose its easy to blame Gestede and ignore the bad games of others.

Nobody was good today, but Gestede was awful. It appears that Malky agreed with me.

You just highlighted Gestede and he certainly wasn't the worse. Whitts was dreadful and has been for a while now is there any reason you didn't mention him.

Spot on.
Kimbo was needed to put a foot on the ball and stop the back 4 hoofball.

Correct to release the two widemen as they were far to narrow with whitts to deep. In fairness Gunnerson worked his socks
off and managed a good shift. Kim would have made all the difference, Helgusson for Gestede was the wrong option , neither players fault but the set up today was wrong. Just a shame that Gestede always takes the blame.

It was pointless bringing on Mason if we were going to keep using the long ball, thought we were going to play it wide and have more movement on the ground, we might as well have kept Rudy on as there were a few opportunities later in the game he may have taken, just my opinion.
