"We're Cardiff City, we'll stand when we want"

Sat Jan 12, 2013 7:41 pm

Great chant that in the Ninian. The stewards were complete wankers today, they must've been up and down the block about 10 times telling us to sit down, I'm glad we stood up to them for a change. One of the stewards even threatened to kick a few of us out at the back for starting "stand up if you love Cardiff". This is our fourth season in the new stadium now and we've been standing in 117 since the very start, I don't see why the club have a problem now. When I ask them why we should sit down, their response is always "sit down for 2 minutes and then you can stand up again", what's the point when they keep coming back? :?

And before some of you say "if you want to stand up go in the Canton", that's what the club want us to do, I'm not backing down. Supporting your team isn't a crime.

I made a thread about standing in the Ninian last week and I was set upon viciously by Chuckles and his motley crew. If they want to "Support" the boys as if they were watching a game of chess then they can bugger off, we are Cardiff City, we once had a fierce reputation for passionate support but it's been heavily sanitised by people I have no time for, plastics.

Its not a crime, against league regulations so they have to be seen to be doing something.

It doesn't happen anywhere else.

I mean anywhere else in the league, most clubs have more than one area where fans sing and they don't get hassled by stewards. It was never a problem at Ninian Park.

Been in many home ends then?

Was always getting told to sit at NP, nobody listened though

It's no surprise our hostile atmoshpere is in decline, not only the 'no standing' is in place, but the guys from the terraces don't know where to go or what to do, penned like sheep springs to mind. Take any away day and the fans who want to sing (most of them) congregate and generate the atmosphere.

That's not even the case though, the whole of 117 stands up and no one complains, the stewards stare at us throughout the game as if we're criminals

Its nothing to do with being offended. If people pay for a seat in the seating area its not fair they have to stand because someone decides to infront of them.

I've been to many away games where fans are standing up in the different parts of the ground.

The Grandstand and the majority of the Bob Bank (seated) used to stand up, the stewards used to be friendly. A lot has changed.

f**k them. Women shouldn't be allowed in football grounds and people who want to sit should go in the grandstand

Or people who want to stand go in the Canton, wherestanding is overlooked.

Next years season tickets come with cotton wool for you to wrap yourselves in before each game. God forbid someone bumps into you when jumping up and celebrating a goal.

Wont be an issue bumping into you as you dont go to matches.

Imagine if someone bought a ticket in the canton and sat down and was moaning expecting you to sit....you tell him to f**k off and quite rightly. Same works the other way. There is a "standing section" use it!

Shut the f**k up you bigot. Women are allowed to watch football as much as any. Sorry if not everyone wants to have a cockfest at the football like you. And as for standing people have bought a ticket for a seat so have all the right to sit down if people want to stand up then go to any area where everyone wants to stand. The stewards were out of line and theres no problem if everyone in that block wants to stand but the club have give us fans an area to stand so be greatful. Stop being stuck in the past

Or those that don't want to stand can shove their season tickets up their arse. Maybe you will meet a turd on the way up who can go to the games instead, will probably have more life in it and hopefully smell nicer too.

the steward who looks like Ravanelli came to tha back of 105.. and said that they were being monitored for safe standing, so maybe thats why they were being a bit more strict? just a suggestion

I know they are allowed to watch football that is the problem, not the quickest chicken in the shed are you. We let them out of the house to have their own game they can play and watch yet they still want a slice of our beautiful game

You don't have enough money to go to games but you have enough money to buy a PLASTIC FC kit and hand money to the Malaysians that are savaging this club? We could do with your type of support thanks.
