O/T Home insurance

My home insurance is due for renewal. I've done the usual comparison website stuff and found a quote £100 cheaper but it's with a company I haven't heard of! They are underwritten by Paragon, who I have heard of!

Does this make it safe? Or am I better sticking with a known name?

We deal with Paragon, they are ok but to be honest there are better companies.

A couple of months ago I went with Legal and General. Had quite a good quote and this week had £100 Marks and Spencer vouchers. Don't know if that deal is still on.

Thought this through haven't you.So if your house floods or catches fire or gets struck by lightning you can just shoot yourself with your rifle because you were too much of an idiot not to be insured.

I don't own the house so this does not bother me. Only threat to me is intruders.

With some of your posts you are right to feel threatened by intruders!
