The Blackpool trip

First away trip for a while and first ever trip with the mrs
Going with another middle aged(ish)couple and staying for the weekend (north part, near the tower).
How many usually make the overnight trip? are we talking 10s, 100s?
What are the fave hangouts for you all?

I'm going for the weekend and I will be going to the Manchester Bar before the game. I've gone to Blackpool twice and the Manchester Bar is quality a few hours before kick off, it's packed with City fans with City songs blaring out, amazing atmosphere!

Four of us going up in the car on the friday.Comming back sunday.We go every year when Blackpool or Preston are in our division.Exellent trip.Just dont take the wife.They sometimes have a decent stripper in the Manchester too.Even old farts like me can have fun.Our tickets are for seats with cushions.Only had them at the Emerates before this.Gareth,if your out there,its the old man.

Be careful going into the ground put your most sober face on they turn so many people away for looking drunk which is staggering really been as that's what everyone does the weekend up there for

One of my mates got turned away and was told to walk around the block for 10 minutes and come back. He only had 2 bottles of bud!

2 coaches going up from canton on the friday till the sunday. staying in various hotels/b+b's
as stated the manchester bar/castle bar/tower lounge will all have plenty of City in them
and also as mentioned the stewards can be very over the top on people who have been drinking so be aware

We're staying the Saturday. Before the game it's got to be The Manchester. Jumping with city fans and loads of good tunes. As someone else said we got asked if we'd been drinking outside the ground. Denied it while trying to hold breath but saw a few turned away. Weren't that pissed either.
