Question for ex-casuals / hooligans+general mischief makers

When something like this used to happen (if it ever did) what percentage of the crowd do you think were just there to be at the scene towards the back of the group rather than actually being on the front line getting hurt?....Because surely so many people don't even throw a punch when the crowds are so deep like this??

haha just seen the new one in the cinema and loved it. Not quite so many scenes like this though. Proper 1 2 3 magical adventures.
