Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay and Bluebirds captain Mark Hudson have been nominated for Championship awards.

Mackay, Mick McCarthy (Ipswich) and Steve Bruce (Hull) have been nominated in the December manager of the month category.

Cardiff earned five wins and suffered one defeat over the month, while Hull were unbeaten with five wins plus a draw and Ipswich had three wins, a draw and lost once.

Hudson is nominated as player of the month along with fellow defender Anthony Gardner (Sheffield Wednesday) and Peterborough United striker Dwight Gayle, the 22-year-old who scored in every game during December and completed his transfer from Dagenham and Redbridge.


City conceded only two goals with Hudson in the team. He missed the home defeat by Peterborough United, enjoying a perfect personal month with five wins out of five.

well no, its actually been classed as a jinx for years by all media pundits, simple reason it happens loads of times after managers have won it they go down hill. Nothing to do with DJ
