ZAHA on his way out of this league

Thu Jan 10, 2013 11:20 am

Looks like UTD have offered 12m, lets hope they do not loan him back and lets hope that liverpool wrap up Tom Ince before we play them.

Well known that if Zaha is sold he will be loaned straight back to Palace.

I'd honestly rather palace kept zaha this window. They don't have a strong squad but if they sold zaha then holloway could really do some damage in the market with 10plus million to burn and could really improve the squad. I'd much rather a weak squad with zaha creating one moment of magic a month, and the rest of the time being an over rated little cry baby. Just my opinion, not sure if others feel the same?

If Ramsey had gone to utd instead of arsenal, utd was going to loan him back to us but that is all in the past

Holloway wouldn't be given anything like 10 million to spend

i really dont think this news will affect us to be fair. We have played them twice, and they are dropping down the league, can see them maybe challenging for a top 6 spot at best, weather he stays or goes.

Overrated.

I hope he stays as their reliance on him and Murray is astonishing. When Zaha performs badly Palace do also and he has quite a few off days hence their draws of recent. If they sell him it means they can reinvest to strengthen all over the pitch.

Agreed. Zaha is over rated and never worth £12 million. Too many zeros in there.

I'm not saying he's going to have the full 10million to spend but I'm sure there'd be a fair few million hed get to re-invest in the squad. I'd much rather zaha stayed and palace will fall away due to a poor squad imo

Why mention Tom Ince? I don't see Blackpool as a threat this season.

we have to play them next week, and it would be better for us if he wasnt playing.

Don't forget we are playing them away and he is very capable of creating and finishing chances. Just because we shut him out in one game doesn't mean we will able do it again. Form is temporary!

Zaha on the move?

Manchester United are the firm favourites to win a two-club race to sign Wilfried Zaha, after Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur cooled their interest in the player.

It is understood senior executives from United and Crystal Palace have held discussions about the transfer of the 20-year-old, who is waiting for a fee to be agreed before he negotiates any personal terms.

Although Zaha is an out-and-out winger, the expected signature of Theo Walcott, who has also played most of his career out wide, on a fresh deal at Arsenal is not thought to affect the club's desire to buy him. The Palace player is understood to have no preference about whether he joins Arsenal or United.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side host Liverpool on Sunday and Jonny Evans believes United's preparation for matches against their rivals has been better this season.

"We've beaten Chelsea, Liverpool and City all away from home," he told Inside United. "They're big games, which we'd gladly take three points from. In seasons gone past we sometimes haven't been able to get results in those big games, so that is a big boost for us.

"We don't sit there at the start of the season and say: 'Right, we need to win this game and that one,' because we know that football doesn't work like that. But I think what we have done going into those games is to be better prepared. We've been doing well this season although we probably didn't start the way we would have liked. But we have confidence in our own ability that we can go anywhere or play any team and win."

Did he not get injured against Stoke at the weekend?

If Holloway gets a wedge to spend this window, and gets Zaha back on loan, that makes them serious contenders
