How to stop people trolling

Reading a couple of threads on here about people wanting the jacks and trolls band from the site !
Easy solution , on the sign in page add a password box where you have to put your cardiff city fan number in to access the cardiff only part of the site and leave the general board open to everyone , or request a personal number from the board admins who only give out numbers to members who can prove there cardiff fans to get into the cardiff only page . . It wouldnt be that hard to organise and will get rid of the shite posts ! Just a suggestion

Away fans are welcome and encouraged to post if sensible

My problem is multiple accounts and people just looking for attention rather than debate. That's not so easy to control.

So why not ask for fan numbers and give posters a personel entry code to use .
If away fans want permission to post they can contact the admin first who will reply with a code to access if they abuse people there email is blocked from having codes again ? quite simple
Im sure multiple usernames will get bored of keeping on having to get new email addresses and will stop .

They need new email addresses to register extra names anyway.
We don't know if they are genuine from an email or not so it doesn't really help us until they post.

Also I'm not sure us mods have enough time for all that with every new member.

Yes but it doesn't seem to be effective, people change them and from what I gather an up address isn't unique so other people were getting banned for no reason.

maybe an idea could be when a poster signs up he or she must state thier full name and upload a picture of themselfs with a link to thier facebook or twitter account once the information is provided will the mod inbox them to confirm they have signed up to the forum as some people would provide false information, the details would stay between the poster and mod so they can change thier avatar etc if they dont want the rest of us to know who they are

It's a forum, why should people have to prove themselves?

im only suggesting it for the mods use, they havent got to tell the rest of us who they are or what they look like, just an idea to cut down on multi users
