It was a good goal.

Premiership buy of the season by far.
I can understand the English teams not knowing about him but where were the Athletico Madrids and Valencias?!
Wed Jan 09, 2013 8:30 pm
Contender of best signing in Europe this season. If he was English they would get £20 mill + for him in the summer. Be interesting to see how much they do get for him.
Wed Jan 09, 2013 8:32 pm
Swansea were always going to get better as soon as they got rid of Rodgers.
Good signing especially when you consider they sold Allen for 14m, prob 10m over value.

Bargain/signing of the season by a mile
Wed Jan 09, 2013 8:36 pm
Like it or not he'll turn a huge profit for them when he goes-and he will go.Small clubs just can't hang on to players like that.
Wed Jan 09, 2013 8:37 pm
He won't be there next season. Class act.

Wont argue there. But ffs do other teams have to put it on plate for him? Tonite sat and several other games. Good finishes but all work done by other teams

It's a fantastic signing, you have to give them that, but I can't see him playing there next season. Athletico Madrid said to be targeting the lad.
Would he have a release clause?

Swansea have a history of putting release clauses into contracts. And I'm pretty certain that it's mandatory in La Liga contracts so his agent might have requested one.

Hope he falls off a golf buggy

It's hard to dislike Michu. Interesting guy who helped out his old club in Spain Rayo Vallecano when they were facing bankruptcy.
Wed Jan 09, 2013 9:21 pm
the guy is mustard. dont see that sort of value for money in football very often anymore
Wed Jan 09, 2013 9:27 pm
but when a player does well for Swansea he moves on, no one stays at Swansea. Yes they get great fees for these players, but striking it lucky on signings like Michu doesn't happen often.
Wed Jan 09, 2013 9:31 pm
god this kills me. but to be fair. i am the first one to knock the jacks, they have done well since going up

and michu has been a find of the season

but there still going to get relegated

theres only 1 team in wales . bluebirrrrrddddddddddssssss

Cant argue with that Oz fair play
and thanks for asking about my boy today mate

Great buy fair play but they won't be able to repeat such a bargain and if they want to replace him at the same level they will need to spend much of what they get for him. IMO
Wed Jan 09, 2013 9:55 pm
Fantasitc player.
Swansea will have to be on their toes to keep him their.
Got a great work rate and doesn't stop running.

Michu is class but he's put himself in the shop window. The jacks like many of the smaller (poorer) clubs in the premiership will always have the problem of hanging on to their better players. He'll be gone in the summer for a nice profit.
Wed Jan 09, 2013 11:53 pm
Credit given when due...
He has upped his value 10 times (maybe more)than what they paid for him.

If hj can get 15m for joey feck knows what he will get fir Spanish international and one of the PL top scorers. Could be closer to 30m.

The reason you got £15m for Joe Allen was because Liverpool bought him.
Michu would cost under £20m, but that's still a huge amount of money.

They could sell Michu, sign Darren Bent and still have cash left to spare.
