Worried by Cardiffs current squad !

Wed Jan 09, 2013 7:08 pm

All these rumours about malkey after championship defenders and strikers !
Surely a club looking at serious promotion need players with the experiance at the level above at some point not just a load of kids with potential who may not be able to make the step up ?
Cardiffs current team has got very little premiership experiance and to be honest it worries me a bit if we do go up .

CARDIFFS PREMIER LEAGUE EXPERIANCE .
Malkey mackay - none
Marshall -none
mcnaughton -none
turner - none
hudson-17 (6 years ago)
taylor- 92 (wow cant believe that )
noone - none
gunnarsson - none
whittingham-56 (has not played in prem for 6 years)
kimbo - none
conway- none
cowie - none
mutch - 3
mason - none
bellamy-269
gestede - none
helgusson -96
smith-87

Up front we have plenty of experiance but will heidur be here next season ? will he still be good enough ? .
Bellamy has huge experiance but will not be playing everygame next year .
Whittingham and hudson have both played there but both were 6/7 years ago and the game has changed a lot since then .
Taylor shocked me how he has played 92 games in the premier league stumps me ! Plus if we are signing a full back i would expect him to be the one replaced imo.

Other than that our entire squad has no premier league experiance .
We will have to buy a lot of players to stay up if we get there i fear and these youngsters we are rumoured to be after may end up being squad players and not getting much game time . Would we be better off loaning players and waiting until the summer to sign the players we will need for the league we are in ? Just a thought :? :?

Would be interesting to see how many Swansea players had premier league experience, they didn't seem to have any real "gems" but have coped the best, staying up in the first season is key, then we can build on our squad.

Exactly. We are a Championship club. I'd much rather we sign up the players in this league, taking them from our rivals.
