Marvin Sordell could be allowed to leave on Loan in a bid to find form and resolve personal issues the player is currently dealing with.

Bolton wouldn't loan him to us surely?? They'd either sell him or keep him. Can't imagine Dougie being happy if he was banging in goals for us whilst still a Bolton player

Prefer an on loan deal to see if he is any good.
If he is, and MM thinks he can hack it, then try to buy him in the summer.
