' PREMIERSHIP FOOTBALL ' ?
Rem there is a match this Saturday 3pm
CARDIFF CITY V IPSWICH T
YOU CAN PAY ON THE DAY
Tickets are selling steadily, no where near like the Palace/Millwall home games, were they just Xmas visits? tickets are selling like the games in Oct.
' WE'VE BEEN TOP OF THE LEAGUE FOR NEARLY 3 MONTHS '
We have 20,000 season ticket holders, we have a fan base of over 260,000

we only hold under 27,000, yet we still have empty seats every home game? 51 years we have waited and were on our way
Yet if promoted we could get 35,000 plus season ticket holders, CARDIFF CITY NEEDS YOU NOW, NOT THEN.
Support Cardiff City and come and see them, not the opposition.
SO FROM NOW ON, I CAN NOT SEE WHY WE CANT GET FULL HOUSES IN THE HOME SECTION RIGHT UP TILL THE FINAL HOME GAME OF THE SEASON.

Any reasons why not ? Surely none

i have a season ticket but bought 3 yesterday for my friends (for one of their birthdays) and , £14 isn't a bad price for 18 year olds, cant complain at them prices really!

Even the Crystal Palace game had empty seats, despite being 'sold out'. Annoying to see, especially considering so far it's been the most important game for us in terms of getting ahead of our rivals.
I'm afraid we won't be getting 25,000+ till nearer the end of the season, which in it's right is fair, but I do agree there should be more.
The amount of fans that will be coming to games if we get to the Prem though
Tue Jan 08, 2013 8:43 pm
Absolutely right Annis. End of. Should be sold out EVERY home game. And make some bloody noise.
Tue Jan 08, 2013 8:44 pm
Spot on Annis ... Bloooobirdsssss
Tue Jan 08, 2013 8:46 pm
Working away from home, this will be the fifth game I've missed this season, absolutely gutted. Can't afford not to work though so I'm stuck for a bit. If we were away to ipswich I probably could of made it.
I miss the Bluebirds more than i miss the mrs.
Nah only joking love. ( just incase she reads this ) ha ha .

Completely agree Annis. And this is where the club need to get their marketing stepped up a gear. They have some decent resources there and there should be a focussed effort on how to fill the ground. The Big Premier Push. Whatever. It should be all over twitter/fb/websites/email/mobile/hardcopy/radio etc. There should also be some thought on price incentives if we know we haven't sold out and we're getting near to the game to fill the seats. Also needs effort on stuff to warm up the crowd before KO to kick start the atmosphere. You can promote things over all media 'channels' to get the people along who simply need that 'nudge'. Those people are the ones who will definitely attend next season if we go up and simple events can be put in place to get some of them going now. It should be full and some smart simple marcom promotion is the key.

can you pay on the day? might take my 4 yr old for his first visit
Tue Jan 08, 2013 9:53 pm
Spot on Annis, there shouldn't be an empty seat in the house from now till the end of the season. If and when we get promoted those that can't get in next season will be moaning like a cheap whore how "I've followed City for years and now I can't get in"!!!!
Tue Jan 08, 2013 10:25 pm
Tell you what Annis, I would rather do without the extra 'occasion' fans for the rest of the season. They are the ones who give off the negative vibes when things go against the team on the pitch (as they will) and add nothing to the atmosphere unless we are 4 nil up after 20 mins.In fact they subtract from it.
Do we want spectators or supporters?
Hmmmmmm.

People are skint after Xmas can't see it being a big attendance, lots of people simply don't have the money otherwise there would be full houses week in week out id say

Gwyn, I would rather they came to watch us now and at least want to see Cardiff, than just the opposition in the Premier League.

good point, the only thing you gain from plastics is money, a raft of plastics have been filling up where i sit for the past 2-3 games and there is no increase in atmosphere
but their money is useful so milk them while the goings good, if the wheels fall off then they wont be coming back

Well no offence but the atmosphere isnt exactlly great when there isnt new fans. You cant blame them for the poor atmosphere. Every fan has to start somewhere

Annis it doesn't help when some of the family stand don't bring the youngsters that have season tickets. Even when we're told it a sell out there are empty seats. I understand the odd ones that have commitments on certain games but it seems to be quite a lot.

I go back to work today!
Will be travelling up to Blackpool though!
Wed Jan 09, 2013 5:22 pm
I'll go if you pay my train and match ticket Annis
On a serious note, no money at the moment. My next one will probably be Leeds away.
Wed Jan 09, 2013 6:04 pm
It also doesn't help when certain fans refer to others as 'plastics'. I know many people who used to go to every home and away game pre the new stadium but are put off by the 'hierarchy' that there is amongst Cardiff fans.
It also isn't fair when a supporter who cannot afford to go to games is also branded as a plastic because they dont go to every home game. £20 may not seem much to you, but to some people its a lot of money.
And of course as has already been mentioned here, everybody has to start somewhere. Welcome new fans with open arms, dont brand them glory hunters or plastics. The club needs more supporters to survive, where do you expect them to come from...
Wed Jan 09, 2013 9:26 pm
i think our position in the league. deserves a full house every game.even if you are a plastic. come and watch and support your local team?
