i thought malky wanted players in tha cud play & do a job in the prem & i dont see jerome as the answer he's jst a very gd champioship player & below average prem player
just my opinion he's done f**k all 4 stike except warm the bench
Sun Jan 06, 2013 7:38 pm
he was a good player when he felt like playing, if he was having an off day he was useless. Personally I don't think he has the right attitude that we need at this moment.
Not eager enough IMO

You are missing the point, we are not in the premier league yet and we have a long way to go before we get there. You have answered this yourself..."he's jst a very gd champioship player ". Which is exactly what we need to get to the top flight, I am sure if we manage to get up MM and the owners will reassess the calibre of players and purchase accordingly.

yes i understand tha but spending 2-3mill on a player that isnt gonna do it at the next level i'd rather just bring in sum1 on loan instead of wasting money
or to see us buy some1 like charlie austin (unlikely) that cud actually do it in the prem

??????????? I had to check my programme to check his shirt number when he played us (a championship team).
Who do you think will drop down to a championship team from the premier league (on prem wages). Rooney, RVP, Crouch, Bent, berbatov, cisse.
We need top get there first, is he better than HH ?

Jerome and Maynard would be a good combo in the Premiership in my opinion. Height, pace, can finish. I dont see the problem here.

i dont know who would come down & do a job on prem wages but the way that malky has said he wants sum1 in that can do a job in both leagues i was not expecting jerome to be the answer, just my opinion but if he does do the job & fire us to the prem en do the business in the prem en happy days
well chalie austin record against jerome's id take austin all day

It worked for West Ham with Maynard ,they didn't want him once promoted

this proves my point i dun want to us to spend big money on players that were just gonna av rot in the reserves once were up which is y iv said i wud like sum1 who can do it in both leagues, id rather see us bring in a quality loan or even get jerome in on loan if possible
Sun Jan 06, 2013 9:53 pm
Just check he scored 27 premier league goals and is 26. Charlie Austin (23) has had a good first half of the season, in my opinion far more of a gamble than Jerome.

Whoever you get there is no guarantee of going up, whether you buy or loan there is a fair amount of outlay. West Ham did it, Saints did with Sharp and Reading with Roberts. none of these were needed bar Roberts who hasn't featured much. My point is Jerome can probably help get us there but then might become a squad player after IF we do succeed.
