BBC: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger on the penalty claim by Aaron Ramsey: "It was a penalty and the referee saw it, you know why he did not give it?
"Because he thought the guy had not done it on purpose, and I think as well it was accidental, but he did not trip himself, he was caught clearly by the leg of the Swansea player.
"The referee hesitated and he did not give it."
Ramsey and Wenger should be ashamed.

He tripped over his own feet... an what does this have to do with any of us? Because he's an ex-Cardiff player? He's also the RIGHTFUL captain of YOUR national team. You should be ashamed.

Looks like he tripped over own feet. Wenger is an arse. However before you start moaning you lot had Gomez in your team a few years ago and he was one of worst that i have ever seen.
SAdly most teams have one in their squad and some teams are worse than others. In the championship Crystal Palace are the worst (Zaha & Bolasie). In prem league Liverpool are bad with Suarez being the worst. Gareth Bale doesnt help himself at times and is another who needs to watch his step.
What should happen is that every dive gets an instant 1 match ban. If a player does it again give them 2 games and so on. If that doesnt work start deducting points.

Even the Swansea-biased Chris Coleman said (after watching 3 or 4 replays) it
WAS a penalty because the Swansea player had caught Ramsey slightly earlier, hence causing him (Ramsey) to catch is own foot and fall over
Have to say I agree; although I can also see why the referee was hesitant 'on the spot'
As an aside, a great comment from Coleman earlier today:
"I know what it's like for a smaller club to play against a really big club. I did it whilst I was at Swansea..."
A fair assessment from the Wales FC manager IMHO; Swansea a relatively small club indeed

What a pathetic post!! He clearly trips over his on feet!! It's not like he was calling for a penalty!!

Aaron Ramsey, he's one of our own
Sun Jan 06, 2013 6:13 pm
What about last year when Joe Allen stamped on Ramsey's ankle and fell over and somehow won a penalty?
Sun Jan 06, 2013 6:25 pm
terrible tackle. that jack should have been banned for life

Am I the only one who believes Aaron Ramsey hasn't achieved what he was meant to? I personally feel we have done well to get rid of him because to my eyes he isn't that good.
Sun Jan 06, 2013 6:45 pm
Point being?

Ashley Williams is captain, sadly.

Maybe, but for the potential he had (maybe still has?) £5m was a con. Shame the money was desperately needed at the time.
Sun Jan 06, 2013 7:56 pm
What has all this got to do with Cardiff City? If you are unhappy, go onto one of the Arsenal boards. There are probably a few.

So I'm guessing you didnt go to the game then...

If you think ramsey should be welsh captain you cant be a wales fan. The bloke is shocking, right off form, no confidence and no leadershop skills. Looked like he was going to be special but these days he is no where near Premier league class.
Sun Jan 06, 2013 10:04 pm
He did get touched.

i take it the original poster has conveniently forgotten about our own ben davies against stoke a few months ago...

At least he is welsh unlike the current Brummie doing the job. The captain of Wales should be born and bred in Wales (Cardiff or Swansea or Fishguard or Wrexham not Manchester Glasgow or London
