Fans Over reacting slightly ?

Sun Jan 06, 2013 5:49 am

Yes we lost to Blue square premier league team Macclesfield , but think of the positives: alot of our rivals are going to be caught up in pointless cup ties while our players rest (less injuries) also we can concentrate fully on getting to that promised land instead of focusing on some mediocre cup run. I can understand why supporters are frustrated but c'mon we got to see sense here.

Malky walking down the tunnel without applauding the fans was wrong, but he was just as embarassed as the rest of us and wanted to sort his team out. Also people are saying he didn't treat the cup with respect , why should he? We're top of the championship and have bottled it too many times and he sees that aswell as we do , so in the long run he's doing right by us.

At the end of the day , were top of the championship and I have real faith were going to go up this year so let's get behind them against Ipswich and support the lads ... We're top of the league , We're Cardiff city , We're top of the league! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

They are not pointless though are they ? Yes we can now solely think about getting promoted so its a bit of a positive. But it does beg the question if we get injuries there are not many ready to step up. That is a worry but for me I love the Cup games. But the team should of been good enough for at least a draw Chief.

I completley agree , we don't have that strength in depth in certain positions but tonight has shown malky that and now he can buy sufficiently in january.

"Giant killings" happen every year in the FA Cup. This year it happened to us. Some people need to get over it.

Wasn't this result the wish of many? So I do not understand the reaction to the result on this forum. Keep the eye on the prize, that what Malky is doing and rightly so. More cup games = running the risk of more injuries and suspensions, if we drew a prem or another championship team in the next round we would have had to play our best team. Ok some say it would be a good test should we get promoted, but I would prefer to ensure that nothing derails our main objective. After the run of games over Christmas and with Easter being very early this year the more he rests the players the better.

No you are completely wrong, they are over reacting monumentally. MAlky put out a side that could win that game and unfortunately we lost it. The 1st teamers had played 4 games in a really short space of time and the development lads deserved a chance to prove themselves before Malky brings anyone in during the window.

I can understand people who were there being a bit peeved but there were noises all week suggesting a far weakened side and that is what they got.
