Calmed down

Sun Jan 06, 2013 2:13 am

I would like to think that i have calmed down, and im going to try and put things in perspective................i would have been able see the logic in Mackay playing a mixed bag of a team,a mix of first team players and some of our fringe players, that would have made sense, but what did he do,he put out a team that consisted of 11 fringe players,in my view he totally disrespected the F.A.Cup,he totally disrespected the opposition, their manager did not need to give a stirring pre match talk to his team ,all he had to do was show them our starting line up,and simply say thats how much they regard you as an opposition,Mackay also disrespected the fans who went to the game by not even acknowledging there presence after the game was over,Mackay proved to me by his insane team selection and his willingness to sit back and try to defend a one goal lead, why i think and will always think he is not good enough to manage at this level,im not stupid enough to think that the vast majority on this forum will agree with what i have typed,i just hope that those who have misgivings about Mackay will have the courage of their convictions and are willing to be vilified for posting their concerns,i take the view that Mackay was found wanting today and i fear he will be found wanting right up to the end of the season, through circumstances beyond my control i have to take a short break from this forum, but being a season ticket holder, i will continue to support the team i fell in love with over 50 years ago......................Angelis

.its a long season without cup games
.we are top of the league 7 points clear
.the fa cup is a distraction
.every single fan that went today knew what kind of team was going today and i think 90% of fans that went only went for the terrace
.lets sack malky just because hes lost an fa cup tie, nevermind the fact we look certain to get promotion

my dear angleis49, get a grip.

Over the last few years the FA Cup has become a 2nd League Cup competition where teams constantly put out 2nd rate sides because survival and promotion are more important and i think Malky made the right decision today.

In the media he said his selection and you had the choice to not go simple.

He didn't respect Macclesfield, a lot of people can understand the importance of this season and the expectations set.

He didn't send his team out their to lose and MM has a bunch of youngsters out there who he watchs a lot in the development games.

MM wants these players to make the grade and there is no doubt he told him to do their best and prove why you can get in this team in a few years.

I wanted to reply to this because it is a load of crap tbf.

Forget any disrespect... Malky made the correct decision, for our main objective! We had a very busy and successful Xmas period. The rest came at the right time for our main players, and I think will help boost us. We scrapped through some of the Xmas games, and pinched the wins. We now need a few confincing wins under our belt to up the confidence for the run in.

Malky is a true leader, and as he will tell you from the leadership manuals he had followed. The first thing about beig a boss is not being afraid to upset people, and you will upset people. He will just keep pushin forward in the league and I'm sure only take positives from yesterday

What an idiotic post!! Your clearly one of the bitter fans who is against vt and the change of colour and badge and any opportunity you get to have a dig at the club you jump all over it! So bitter it's unreal!! £ points clear in the league and this is your attitude towards our club!!

Brewer.

I don't agree with Angelis but insulting him and having a go at him for having an opinion is wrong.

Attack the post, not the poster. :old:

The words I used were "idiotic post" not "idiotic poster!" So it's not an insult as such!! Surely this kind of attitude does nothing positive for the club and oozes bitterness!! How can you have doubt over malky so far this season when we are 7 points clear!! :?

You then started attacking him personally, for his opinion.

As I said, I don't agree - but some fans feel Malky was wrong and they can air that. :ayatollah:

I wouldn't say it was a personal attack! It's more of an attack on a group that I believe this individual falls into!! Surely the attacks and comments they are making towards our club and manager for that matter are for more disrespectful than the comments I have just made!!

Its clear to me that certain posters just want the club to fail So theybcan say I told you so!! The bitterness shown by some posters is so clear to see its beyond!!

Well, for some reason, you started ranting at him for the rebrand etc. totally unnecessary.

You shouldn't need to attack anyone, just debate. :ayatollah:

That's not a rant believe me! The reason I brought up the rebrands because for over over 6 months I've read the comments made by angelis and they are all negative and linked to to the rebrand!!

For all your passioned ramblings. Its the highlighted sentence that stands out.

Malky Mackay has bought players to this Club, with limited funds (he does not have a blank cheque)
to play in the division you allude to.

We are currently SEVEN points clear of every other team in the division.

Bookmakers now have us odds on to achieve promotion

When you say he isnt good enough, what do you use as a yardstick? Warnock has a good squad
this season, is Warnock better than Mackay. Holloway has a good squad this season, is Holloway better,
Steve Bruce has a good squad this season, is Steve Bruce better??

Because if they are.... why are we running away with it? We have had a first half of season where we
have had awful luck with injuries. Our main striker is out for the season. Yet we are still top!!

But you insist he isnt GOOD ENOUGH?

Preposterous.

It's all about opinions on here, that's what makes it such fun. I had a great day out yesterday, supporting my team and standing shoulder to shoulder with CCFC fans. I was disappointed with the performance and result and some of those players will receive their P45s soon.

We are top of the league, though and the Macc defeat will be forgotten soon enough.
