We sit here tonight, 7 points clear of the chasing pack in the championship and yet we have people moaning left , right and center
Alot of people define this season as our make or break season, our now or never - so can we afford to take the cup serious and take the chance of having another Nicky Maynard situation in a place which could have been avoided?
Yes, i do feel sorry for those who had made the journey up to Macclesfield, although surely you must have thought that this was the side that we would have played? My mate saw the side and asked me to guess the starting XI, and i guessed every one, and i imagine i wasnt the only one.
If we was a Bristol City, Derby etc who had nothing to play for season after season, I would have been dissapointed with today, although we have the best chance ever of reaching the PL, so surely this season we can sacrifice the FA for this? We might never have the chance to build a serious promotion challenge, but the cup is always there season after season
If it was another situation where we had Chelsea in the League Cup semi and we rested players in the championship for that game, yes i would be disappointed, fuming actually, although I and possibly many others felt that the side put out was good enough to win?
Lets move on, and get back to enjoying possibly the most exciting season in City's history

I think people forget if was still in cup malky would have to take eye off league to prepare whatever team he chose for next round , cant give it to other people that's why its good we are out cup! simple really
