Over the Top.............

Sat Jan 05, 2013 9:42 pm

As soon as I knew what sort of side we were putting out I knew it was gonna be tough.

After all we lost to Northampton........much respect to the fans that travelled and it seems a bit out of character that Malky didn't clap them at the final whistle which all I can think of he was hurt too.

BUT the FA Cup does not even come close to the riches of securing premier league football. I for one am glad they are out as much as I hate seeing us losing.

I don't think Malky disrespected anyone today as the team that he put out should have beaten Macclesfield but it goes to show he is right with picking his first team.

The only ones to come out with credit was Declan John (ready to challenge Taylor now in my opinion) And Ben Nugent.

Slate me for all your worth but I'm glad we are out. 20 games to the premier league. I'm not a new fan. I've been supporting City since SuperGran :ayatollah:

After gettin to the final last year of the league cup the same was never gonna happen.

I went to Northampton and came away thinking, ok, Helgusson and Mcphail and Conway were the only big names playing that night, but I expected a lot of youngsters to play, 7 days to Ipswich at home is just as important if not more.

We had a very tough game 3 days later against Huddersfield and I didn't see any of the crap I've seen today.

And all that before the season started, were we top of the league heading for the prem then, no. :ayatollah:

Which goes to show that the players didn't play to their expectations today. Malky asks them to step up and they didn't.
