Gutted about losing todays game but on the other hand happy we can concentrate on the league from now on , but do we have a second string /fringe players who ould have gone on a decent cup run this year without compromising the fitness of our first team in any way ?
Surely we could field a better team than we did today without risking too much ?
We could have started with
----------------------lewis------------------------
mcnaughton -----nugent----connolly------john
cowie -----mcphail------ralls/mutch-----kimbo
----------velinkonja-------mason---------------
subs/fringe -- marshall , taylor , ralls/mutch , gestede , kiss , earnshaw , harris , smith,
That team would be more than good enough to have swept macclesfield aside and kept our subs/fringe players sharp whilst giving 1 or 2 youngsters good experiance .
We could have given players like mutch and smith game time to gain match fitness after injuries , I really dont get why we went so weak when really if you think about it there was no real need to and a cup run generates good money for the club and excites the fans .I would rather win that game with the team mentioned then hopefully get a big home draw against a top prem team to break the season up and bring in extra revenue to the club .
Very dissapointed in malkey today for the first time since hes been here tbh i love the fa cup .
