" POSITIVITY ALERT! "

Sat Jan 05, 2013 9:34 pm

what the f**k is with all this negativity?! people calling for refunds, apologies, and an explanation from the club just cos we lost to Macclesfield?! before today everyone was fine with MM playing our u21 and players pushing for the 1st team, but as soon as we lose all the negativity is back! we all knew players needed a rest, so they got it today, but now it's not alright and we should of played!

im dissaponted with the result yes, i want us to win every game, but im happy malky put out a reserve side to play a BSP club which theh should be beating, but sadly they have not! but people are treating as if its the end if the world and now we're in doom and gloom once again!
bugger the cup, just look at this way! would you rather a one off tie against a big club in the cup which 99% we will not win, or a whole year full of glamour games such as the uniteds and chelsea?! know what i would rather..

WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE so cheer up you miserable sods and look forward to the league season we still have, where hopefully we'll have some glory after many years! we have the best group of players we've ever had so enjoy the ride, blueeeeeeebirds! :ayatollah:

Re: ?!?!

Nice to see some positivity! If we had a strong side out and someone got seriously injured, we would all have enough to say and Malky would still get stick for putting a strong side out and going for a cup run rather than the league. Great post. :ayatollah:

the thing is if that team won malky would be called a hero, but they lose and he's a disgrace/c**t/clueless... but then if our 1st team went out and won, but say hudson or noone got injured then he'd be slated still... just no pleasing some fans!

as mentioned in another thread the FA cup is dead anyway

I have watched 5 of those youngsters today over the last few years that were on display today and thought they would struggle at the highest level and my observations appear to be correct and today was against a conference side .

let's get the 3 points next week and move on :ayatollah:

so do players like mutch , kiss , kimbo , cowie , gestede , mason and connolly who play 20 mins a week if there lucky need a rest ? lol your having a laugh if they cant play a cup game once a month after maybe sitting on a bench for 3 weeks inbetween they shouldnt be proffesional sportsman .
I would not rather 1 big cup game a year over prem football but would expect a team top of the championship to be able to play a half decent team against non league opposition and be able to win . No problem with malkey playing some youngsters in these games but they need to be mixed with seasoned proffesionals which showed the last 10 mins when they bottled it and had nobody to calm the team down .
Nobody is saying its the end of the world just pissed off malkey showed our opponents and travelling fans absolutely no respect with the team he put out which resulted in a very embarresing day for our club ! FACT .

Ah well lets concentrate on the league then and have no fun inbetween we dont need the distraction to take the players minds off league action or extra games to keep our fringe players match sharp .

It really pisses me off the way some of our fans overreact after we lose a game. One good thing about promotion if we go up is that it will really kick some sense into some of them when we lose the majority of our games.

Re: " POSITIVITY ALERT! "

Sat Jan 05, 2013 10:40 pm

Agree completely calshepccfc , I understand people have paid good money and traveled to watch the game today ! But we all expected the side that was named to be the one that started !! It's been no secret !!
The annoying thing for me is the people having a go today are the ones that next week after our victory will be giving it large about prem league and malkys biggest fans etc etc , prem is our goal and I believe Malky will deliver this !!

Although not massively pleased with performance today , this sets our season out and gives us the best chance of achieving our goal while some of our rivals now endure replays and extra games, our main boys will have a well earnt rest !

C'mon guys wise up and support the boys

velinkonja is young and was playing his first competitive game for us , his only other experiance has been in a poor slovenian league .
nugent has played about three proffessional games and is still a kid
ralls has had half a season mostly as a substitute
mcphail has the experiance but was playing his first game this year apart from dev games and was nowhere near match fit
Lewis and kev were the only 2 real fringe players in the team today .
I never called him a disgrace i said he had no respect for a lower league teams and totally picked the wrong team which you cant argue against because we lost to a non league team .
There is no reason why cowie , mutch , kimbo , connolly , mason , gestede and smith couldnt be involved today its not as if they were tired cos theyve hardly played even if one of them got injured it wouldnt disrupt the first team really .

People just expect us to win every game regardless of what is actually going on. If we went on a cup run it would ruin our chances and people would moan for not getting us up. You should read the other board there are actually people suggesting Malky should go because he "insulted" the FA cup

 Malkey should by no means go but he should own up to a mistake now and again and he made a big one today . He takes a lot of praise over the last 2 years so a bit of criticism over a terrible team selection wont hurt him . Like i said there is no reason why players like cowie ,mutch , kimbo , mason and connolly couldnt play today and help the youngsters through .
And he did insult the fa cup, the fans and our opponents unfortunatly but still a top manager everybody makes mistakes.

He made the right team choice ??? We lost = mistake
He took mcnaughton and kiss off 2 of our 3 experienced outfield players at 1-0 then lost 2-1 = mistake
He played a very weak team not just a weakened team =mistake
He didnt have a quality player or two on the bench to turn to if things got tight or needed a spark =mistake
And im a malkey fan just not got rose tinted glasses on when it comes to him ,and if hes going to develop as a manager a bit of criticism when he fucks up is good for him !

youd have enough to say if we fielded a strong team vs a BSP side, then come the next time we lose in the league you'll moan they look tired and moan we could of rested them!.... f**k sake the side we put out SHOULD of beat them, but it didnt so forget about it now and lets focus on the league!

Agree totally, it is safer this way no added risk involved with injuries and what if we do make the final and possibly end up loosing, but then the cup has had a drastic impact on fitness levels/general performance.

Although I would have liked a cup run I personally think its better all round this way, but I do think that malky underestimated Macclesfield and overrated the reserve/youth team.

But Declan John looked lively in my opinion and possibly even good enough for a bit of championship first team playing time

Also I think that Velikonja could do well as long as he is provided with decent passes, and a proper supply. I think he needs a first team game where he will get what he needs and if he still does not perform then I may change my view but for now I think he still has potential and goals in him. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: ;) :ayatollah:
