Malky can't please them all

1) If Malky puts out a strong team and we go on a cup run then people will say we must focus on the league.

2) If we put out a weak team to focus on promotion then people will say we are disrespecting the competition.

Malky cannot win with some. We are not Manchester United with two A grade teams. We are Cardiff City FC. We are riddled with debt so whilst adding depth in the transfer window is key, it does not mean we can go splashing £10m on players.

Lets be realistic here. The Premiership is key and if we go up then we can add more quality to the team and we'll be able to put a stronger team out against weaker teams. We'll have a much better chance of winning the cup then and that is proven by Portsmouth's success against us and Birmingham's vs Arsenal.

I dread to think what this forum would have been like if Nugent or McNaughton got injured today. Let other teams deal with the risk of players getting injured in the cup.

No need for all this anger. Its one season without a cup run but it may just all pay off in the end. Keep the faith. Bluebirds.

Spot on. I'm gutted we lost but its not the end of the world. Malky did the right thing today, maybe a few more senior players needing match fitness would have ticked us over to 90 minutes to win the game but we needed to rest our first teamers. Only fault of Malky today was to take off Kiss because as soon as we went off we got over run and conceded 2 goals
