I was going to post a question regarding Declan. I watched him in a development game earlier on season and was very impressed with him. I was disappointed we loaned Lappin over Declan as I hoped he might be given a chance like Nugent did.

Thought he was decent today and got me thinking did he do enough to suggest we don't go for a left back during window and spend any money we were perhaps planning to use on increasing our budget for our attack targets?

I'd loan him out to a league 1 or 2 club, let him get some regular first team action. He'll go far so the game time will be very valuable at this stage of his career

I'd get him on the bench pushing Taylor for a start - he's good enough already

Thought he had a great game going forward - he seemed to link up well with Rolls.

However I would have doubts about his defending at this early stage of his career - I suspect he would be targeted by opposition Championship teams - left back is a tough position for a young man!

I think he will be a real star for us though!

Great performance today by him, fingers crossed he doesn't waste his career by cockiness and arrogance, would love it if he made the grade here. He's linked up well with the players ahead of him.
