Shocking to say the least

Sat Jan 05, 2013 5:08 pm

I know we want to concentrate on the league, but that result was shocking, the game was shocking and to say thats our back up team well lets hope for no injuries to the 1st squad.

I feel for the travelling fans today to be subject to such a dreadful game and no doubt spent a pretty penny to be there.

I have supported the city for well over 40 years and I cannot remember such a dire performance in a cup game.

Should have played a slightly stronger team and looked to win IMO.

It wasnt our backup, it was our youth team.

agree with all of that but its a blessing in disguise andy. a draw would have been worse than a loss in my opinion. jules will be happy though as the wurzels lost  :ayatollah:

Back up players are
Lewis, McNaughton, Mutch, Kim, Gunnarson, Conway, Gestede, Mason

Your point is?

Thought John showed some promise especially for the goal, Ralls was decent to. Apart from that the rest were utter shite.
Can't see Velikonja or Harris ever making the step up tbh and wha the fu.. happened to Kev?

Lets be realistic, we are hardly going to need more than 2 or 3 changes at any one time are we?

fair point, squad names above regularly feature week in week out whether it be playing or on the bench, although lewis and kev featured today,
can see why people are expecting malky to sign some players over the next few weeks

even worse... what happened to Kiss???
lost the ball countless times.
and if Steve Sideways McPhail gets offered a new contract then I'll personally come down to the CCS (or Mill Stad ;) ) and beat Malky senseless with my knob.

cant put a number on how many games i have been to but know it in the thousands, home and away.
I have seen many dire games, just like yourself, maybe this one sticks out a little more, or is it we have been spoiled over the last couple of years and we not used to it

What you are saying now is true, what you said in your other post about the worst game no chance

I can see that a lot of the players have been slated, but when you play 11 guys who do not normally play together what do you expect.

If we had made fewer changes and a stronger team then those who played "shite" today may well have played better because of it!

We need to take this on the chin, look forward to the future and give the youngsters involved a chance to develop
