300k for craig davies

Bolton have had a bid of 300k accepted by barnsley for welsh international striker craig davies.
Still only 26 he has scored 8 goals in 9 games this year
Would be a good edition to our squad for that money ,rather pay 300k for him than 3mill for sordell to be honest

We can't sign everyone that becomes available

Fully agree. Ideal player to have for a target man, and can score good goals. Looks a monster on the pitch, unlike Rudy.

I never said sign him i said he was a bargain at that price . Hes big , quick ,strong and can score goals at championship level .Hes actually got the best goals per game ratio in the league this year in a team struggling at the bottom of the table , imagine what he could do in a team like ours ?

Looks like Bolton are starting to downsize in preparation for their parachute payments stopping in the next couple of years, while we're looking for upgrades.

Way better than Parkin or Rudy imo. Scored a gainst us a few times over the years, destroyed Brum this season with 4 goals at their place and a Welsh International - 300K seems a bargain to me.

We would end up a laughing stock if we signed everyone player that was put up for sale we would be a bigger joke than Portsmouth , anyway he is still nowhere near as good as what we should be looking for.

Hes shown in glimpses he is good enough , at 300k i think hes definatly a bargain as hes got a great scoring record with quite poor teams , imo he could score 15-20 goals a season in a top championship team .
At that price if he does fail theres pretty much nothing to lose bolton have got a bargain there .

'GLIMPSES' mean nothing. All that means is he can have a good game/run of games.
Davies has never proved himself to be consistent. for 300k... you get a 300k player.

Same with Rudy. He will never be 'consistently' good. We could be having threads for
the rest of the season saying "he set this up, he flicked that on, he scored a tap in"
But we will not be having threads saying he was Man of the match or terrorised the
defenders or ran the show. Because he's not good enough

John Parkin scored plenty of goals in the championship for Preston,mostly against us.Never given a chance,obviously not Malky's cup of tea.

Not consistent enough.. he seems to get a few goals then goes quite. Confidence player.

Craig Davies - decent enough and decent price but a striker to add that extra bit of quality to get you into the Pl - nah
