He would be a great player to replace Whitts if he got injured but I don't think he would be willing to go from being a Premier league player on the bench, to a Championship player on the bench. He wouldn't get in our starting 11 simply because if we put him in the centre with Whitts the midfield would be too lightweight and we would get overrun like we did a few seasons back.
I think he will go to someone like Reading or Aston Villa. I reckon he would do a brilliant job for one of them!

He wont be on massive wages at West Brom I dont think, they are not a club who throw money around willy nilly. Besides if we want to be a prem club then we are going to have to pay prem wages.
I think we actually pay obscene wages for a championship club as it is, Joe Cole has just signed for West Ham for 30k a week, we are paying some of our players that.

A good wage, signing on fee, % increase upon promotion and a promotion bonus no doubt would be involved.
