I have come to the conclusion

that people who dress up in fancy dress in parties are showing you what type of person they are.

i.e

Women who dress up as Nuns = they love a good riding
people who dress up as superheroes = think to highly of themselves and therefore find the need to showboat
people who dress up as wheres wally = lost in life with no sense of direction
people who dress up as smurfs = crowd followers
people who dress up as footballers = run out of ideas
