birminghams main stand

listening on cardiff player, they said. the main stand years ago burnt down. a fire in the main stand started. and when the firebrigade came. they attached there hoses to the petrol connection. not the water one. thus putting petrol on the fire

dont know. they said years ago. could have been to do with heating?

dont know. they said years ago. could have been to do with heating?

Circa 1941 - "Three months later, the Main Stand, which was being used as a temporary National Fire Service station, burned down, destroying the club's records and equipment – "not so much as a lead pencil was saved from the wreckage"[25] – when a fireman mistook a bucket of petrol for water when intending to damp down a brazier."

However, Wiki doesn't mention that the fireman in question was in fact swanseasalad69's grandad. :violent3:
