My two nephews were down the mcdonalds outside the ccs earlier this morning , they just come running up to me excited saying they were watching a mixed race player training on the pitch through the corner gates , anybody know who it could be ??

Maybe a medical going on or more likely imo maynard in light training .

Depends, have seen many a medical take place on the playing surface when they're looking at movements, sprints, small training procedures etc. Would imagine they would do it down the Vale normally, but time of year maybe dictates elsewhere.

Or maybe it's bullshit!

a medical is exactly that, just like going to the doctors, maybe on a treadmill with monitors, its not a run around on a pitch

I would think medicals would be held at the vale aswell but they do use pitches to test mobility and turning , there called medicals but they include a lot more than just a doctor ,they get put through rigorous tests by physios aswell , it was probably a injured player having a light session just found it intresting as to why they would be hidden on the pitch and not the vale .
Probably a simple explanation for it though prob happens all the time .

I've seen plenty of medicals on the pitch, including ballwork as well the stuff I already mentioned. Coaches & doctors in attendance looking at reactions etc. It is not unusual by any means.

Depends on the player. Previous record of injuries etc. Sometimes outside, sometimes in, most of the time combination, some short sprints outside and then treadmill etc. Most of it is done on the table though with the monitoring equipment.
