Disgusting that Giggs hasn't been knighted

I know he's been a naughty boy in his private life but there is no doubting his loyalty, commitment, dedication and contribution towards the sport of football. He has helped in the community plenty of times in Manchester and its often reported in their paper of the work he does in the community. 20 years of dedication and no knighthood.

Clearly shows the bias towards (1) the Welsh and (2) footballers, in my opinion.

He most definitely should be Sir Ryan Giggs. Even though I dislike him a little for his lack of passion for playing for Wales being realistic he still deserves a knighthood. What he has achieved at club level is nothing short of remarkable.

I don't think any sports person should be honoured while they are still competing.its their profession and something they get paid very well for.let them get the accolades when they retire.rant over.happy new year.

And let's be honest here, why should someone earning millions of pounds a year for what averages 90 minutes work per week get an award paid for by the tax payer?

All professional footballers should be made to work 3 days a week in schools whilst under club contracts and 3 days a week compuslory for free after they retire.

The problem is you'll find the lower league players do this - in their own time!
