True that.
For me, the year ends when the season ends, as well as other things such as schools, colleges etc.
I surely can't be the only one who lives in football seasons?

Got to agree, I've never been a big fan of New Year, prefer the run up to Christmas and enjoy Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Same here Nobber, although the wife thinks I think too much about football throughout the year.
After all this time together she should know better.
We've been married for almost 33 seasons now!
