Giggs in his prime or Gareth Bale? I'm going with Bale.

Bale

Bale, Giggs has been overrated his whole career, only looked good because he was in a winning team. Bale could do it at the top
Mon Dec 31, 2012 5:34 pm
Giggs. A better all round player. It's close though.
Mon Dec 31, 2012 5:36 pm
Tough call - Giggs more skillful , Bale faster
Mon Dec 31, 2012 5:38 pm
BALE. For much of his career, Ryan Giggs couldnt even cross the ball

Giggs for me.
But that is because we have already seen his prime - and the years he was right at the top.
Bale hasn't reached his prime yet and has the potential to be better.
But as of today - Giggs at his best vs Bale now - it is Giggs.

Giggs doesn't dive, better all round player

At his prime? Bale has got a few years yet. Bale is better at his age now than Giggs
was. As for diving? Bales last booking was ridiculous, you could clearly see the defender
make contact with his knee. Not a chance he could have stayed on his feet then

I think people are forgetting how good Giggs actually was in his prime, for me its easily Giggs.
Although Bale is currently one of the best players in the world

I agree, still remember his goal where he ran through Arsenal. Yet Bale still young more hype and media these days ask when Bale is 39. Easier answer

Bale.
Hal Robson-Kanu is better than Giggs.
Mon Dec 31, 2012 6:12 pm
Giggs hands down but bale has the potential to be world class. He will only reach this potential if he leaves Spurs and plays at the top level.
Mon Dec 31, 2012 6:28 pm
Giggs all day long. Bale will just turn out to be another "Matthew Le Tissier" unless he grows a set and goes to a bigger club. At the moment, bale is just "potential" giggs was winning trophies at his age. its all well and good being a flash harry, but if there's no medals at the end of it, then what's the point. Bale needs to leave spurs and move to a Big club soon.

He needs to stop doing them pansy love heart celebrations as-well.

Awwwwww when he does it, do you pretend he's doing it to you? Trade mark Lol

Bale...Giggs could never finish

No but thats a brilliant video and he is one of the few players with a trademark celebration. Why would he get rid of it? Im sick of the generic celebrations, players being creative are awesome. Turner at Wembley taking his shirt off and spinning it like a helicopter was boss.

Giggs for me but bale is what 23 so that could all change but Bale would av to give so much to the game to catch Giggs
So Giggs for now.
Mon Dec 31, 2012 7:44 pm
Giggs for me, for years and years he was probably the best left mid in the world, only Del Piero was close. However Bale could be better with time. But for now it's Giggs.

How can you even compare one of the most decorated players on the planet to Gareth Bale?
Sorry but Bale has Done/Won Nothing to even warrant this conversation.
He is an excellent talent that is being fulfilled but he has a long long way to go.
Mon Dec 31, 2012 8:24 pm
its very difficult to say, because bale is at the top of his game, and giggs, despite his undoubted technical quality which he will never lose, is 38 (?) and not as good as he was 10 years ago.
bale plays in a poorer team, when he moves on to a bigger team maybe he wont look as good as he'll be a small fish in a big pond, on the other hand it may take him to the next level.
giggs is arguably the best player of the PL era though there are other players you'd put alongside him including henry, scholes and ronaldo......
